Keep Believing

Keep believing
Listen

For those of you who watched Super Bowl LIV last Sunday, you were treated to a fourth quarter come back to remember.  We saw, Patrick Mahomes lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory with less than 7 minutes left in the game.  As Dan Wetzel reported on Yahoo sports “Maybe most impressive was that no matter how rough things got throughout the game, Mahomes never stopped believing he could win the Super Bowl”. Wetzel further explains that this was not one of Mahomes best games, but he kept believing he would win and he did.

And how about Andy Reid who kept working for 15 years after his first Super Bowl loss in 2005. Coach Reid kept going for all those years. Despite being fired by the Philadelphia Eagles, and suffering loss after loss with his new team. On Sunday It looked like he was on the brink of yet another loss.  But he kept pushing his team and it paid off. All the tears and disappointments  ended when he finally got his first Super Bowl win.

Both of these are examples of what the Bible says about believing, endurance and staying focused.”Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1 KJV

Let’s take an example from this great team. Whatever you are facing today keep believing and remain focused on the prize our Heavenly Father has waiting on us!

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and all their  fans out there!
