This is a historical moment. But like other moments in history, we look for God’s grace for ourselves and our country.
Grace is defined as “Unmerited Favor”, and God’s grace is unmerited favor from God. We can’t earn it, and we can’t pay for it. God gives us His grace.
The Apostle Paul helps us to understand how Grace works in our lives. 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
God is calling and equipping us to serve Him in these coming times. We are facing a count and a world that is really divided. We can’t accomplish reconciliation and all He has called us to do with our strength alone. We need His grace.
At this critical time, let us all be in worship, we need to seek His face and His will for us.
I am reminded this morning of an old hymn that they used to sing during communion.
Let us praise God together on our knees, on our knees
Let us praise God together on our knees
When I fall on my knees with my face to the rising sun,
Oh Lord have mercy on me
We love you
