The Right Now Generation

The Right Now Generation

In his essay “The One Graduation Speech Millennials Need To Hear.” Nicolas Mills writes about millennials: “They don’t assume, as so many college students did in the ’60’s, that by sticking together they will be able to create a more just society. They believe instead that sticking together will give them the courage to keep their hopes in sight.”

Mills asserts that this generation is motivated to stick together. Which is important because we are meant to be together. We are not solitary creatures.

We remember the teachers that God provided to us when we were the “Next Generation.”  They coached us and helped us greatly. They knew what we were going to face and they helped us face it. That was before there were generational labels. They only saw our youth, no labels.

That is our role now, even though we still need our mentors and coaches. Remember, you are not on this journey alone. There are people around you that need to know that God is real in your life. You need to let them join you on your journey. You need to take others with you on your journey. We have a destination.

Jesus has been waiting for this moment. He is waiting for you to trust Him with your destination. He knows all about you and He is waiting for you to give Him everything in your heart, and He has promised to never leave us.  “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”(Matthew 28:20 KJV)

God loves you, and so do we. We are here for you.  You can contribute to the conversation at HeartVision Church on Facebook and on Twitter.

We Love you and God Bless you.
