We are continuing our study in the Story Bible. We come to the account of Moses sending twelve spies into the Promised land. The twelve spies return with one cluster of grapes that was so big that it took two men to carry it. You would think that their report would say let’s go and possess that good land but that was not the case.
Ten of the spies also brought doubt, and fear about the giants that were in the land. However, one of the two brave men, Caleb said: Numbers 13:30 (NIV) “Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” Caleb had no doubt.
This is the kind of response that God is looking for. Caleb had his eyes on the promise, and he trusted God to bring the promise to fruition. What is in our heart this morning? As Pastor Rochelle believes that God always goes before us.
As you meet your challenges today, always make sure that you have made up your mind that you are going to trust God to do what He says He will do.
The acclaimed Gospel singer and songwriter Fred Hammond reminds us through his song,
“God will do what He says He will do,
you can stand on His Word,
He will come through”

Just remember: God always goes before us to fight our battles.
We love you
