My mind and spirit has turned towards unity. While studying about patience last week this scripture stood out to me. It is a blessing prayed over God’s people by the Apostle Paul. He was writing to them about the strong helping the weak in a letter to Rome. He wanted them to look out for each other.
I believe that this is a great time to pray this blessing of unity over each other, our nation and the world as we seek to heal the divide that split us. “ May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” Romans 15:5-7 NLT
Remember as Christians we are to live in harmony. We are to unite with one voice and accept one another giving praise and glory to God. Remember, We are the body of Christ connected by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, We are united with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. We are united with Christians in other parts of the world. We are united with Christians up the street and next door. Paul knew that it is powerful when God’s children come together.
Let us unite with one voice giving praise and glory to God. Amen
