On The Right Side

On The Right Side
Listen

In Silas and Timothy’s first letter to the Thessalonian Church, they illustrated the close relationship between the people, God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, by referring the people as belonging to God. “This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy. We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. May God give you grace and peace.” 1 Thessalonians 1:1 NLT.

David’s wisdom shared in the book of Psalms states “The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand” Psalms 110:1 NLT. Luke echoes this, “But from now on the Son of Man will be seated in the place of power at God’s right hand.” Luke 22:69 NLT.

Right now, Jesus, is seated at the right hand of God the Father and when the time comes, He will gather His people and place those who belong to Him at His right side, “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.” Matthew 25:31-33 NLT.

This brings up an important question: Will you be on the right side? If you feel uncertain, remember the Lord’s requirement that “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10. NLT. There is no question that Jesus will accept you as one of His if you confess and believe in your heart, as this is the path to salvation.
