Honoring Those We Lost This Past Week

Our hearts are heavy but not in despair. Even as we are celebrating the life and music of Aretha Franklin, we received news of Sen John McCain. Sen McCain is a true American hero. And we also received the news of the young people in Jacksonville, FL who fell victim to a mass shooter.

But in all of this sadness, God has made it clear that He will never leave us or forsake us.

In the midst of sadness, God gives us joy. Joy can be described as the confidence of God’s presence on the inside when there is sadness on the outside.

Joy is the light that remains when we are surrounded by darkness.

“I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”‭‭ Matthew ‭28:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We love you. God bless you all.
