Citizens
Listen

As the Fourth of July descends, families gather on lawns, while kids zoom around on their bikes. The warmth of the night envelopes us, reminding us of our local heroes. The warmth of the night envelopes us, reminding us of our local heroes. These aren’t ordinary heroes, oh no! They’re hometown heroes who grew up here, shooting hoops over garage door backboards. Our community comes alive under the brilliant spectacle of fireworks.

The collective cheer resonates, reflecting our joy in being citizens of this great nation. Yet, our citizenship extends beyond borders, reaching into God’s Kingdom. It is here that we gain a divine perspective on our responsibilities, guided by Phil 3:13-14 (KJV)The Apostle Paul, with his rich tapestry of triumphs and trials, encourages us focus on the future, to keep our eyes on the ultimate prize. The past holds no interest for him, and his gaze is firmly fixed on his journey in Christ.

As citizens, we too, like Paul are urged to look ahead, focusing on Jesus and his work in our lives. We keenly focus on Jesus and His work in our lives, as we trust Him to continue to direct our lives each day.

Have a Happy and blessed Fourth of July.

We Love you
