Despair is when you let the circumstances speak to you about what is going to happen. Often times when we are going through something we wait until we receive victory to praise God. However, as Emma Jean Foster sings “Don’t wait till the battle is over to shout now.” Don’t wait, respond with praise right now. You may have heard it so many times that praise is the key that unlocks the door.
Psalms 100:4 KJV says “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” I need to share with you a little about this ministry, one of the earliest and most important challenges we had was leasing a video server (back before they were mainstream). We looked everywhere to get a video server; you name it. Nothing seemed to be the right solution.
After we had been looking for months, we finally found a video server from a fine Christian gentleman named Bob at Christian Hosting solutions. When I read his email, I immediately began to praise God. I was driving, and I pulled over. The tears started streaming because I knew that God was in it. And let me tell you it was a real blessing to us. God has been so good to us. God made a way.
So today we encourage you to declare “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him”. Psalms 28:7 NIV Go ahead and Shout!
